Are you God compliant in Y2K?

2 Chronicles 7:14 - 15

Many people are asking if their computer is Y2K compliant. Will their chips fry on January 1, 2000? Will their coffee machine come on? There are many people crying "the sky is falling - the sky is falling" - even many of our "Christian leaders"....who should know better.

Far too many of us have been pulled into this doomsday focus and as a result have pulled our focus off the most important thing in our lives - Jesus.

What should we do in times of trouble? Go to the Word! Go to the only one big enough to take care of us in any trial or tribulation - GOD! He l;aid out His plan for these troubled times in His Holy Scriptures.

2 Chronicles 7:14

Instead of being worried about being Y2K compliant we should be concerned about being GOD COMPLIANT IN Y2K.

God's People - Christians - Those that know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour

Following God's Plan - Humility, Prayer, Seeking God's Face, Turn from their wicked ways. (want a good point about the "goodness" of the church and it's members? - God is talking to HIS PEOPLE here - the believers. This text paints a perfect picture of pure repentance)

Receive God's Promise - of hearing, of forgiveness, of healing

The first God inspired message after 400 years of darkness was the simple words of John the Baptist found in Matthew 3:2 - "Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!"

Guess what the first message that Jesus Christ brought to us? Matthew 4:17 - "Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!"
