We Need Jesus to be Born Again

John 3:1 – 21

 

  1. We must be born again
    1. There is no escaping this reality
  2. We cannot give birth to ourself/We cannot give re-birth to our self either
    1. We had nothing to do with our birth by water – our parents did
    2. We have nothing to do with our re-birth – God does
    3. We cannot be born again due to our ability to reason  - V4
    4. The “natural order” of life will not save us – V4
    5. Our wisdom/intelligence will not save us – V12
    6. Our standing in our church/good works will not save us – V10
  3. We Need Jesus
    1. Thief on the cross

                                                               i.      Hands were nailed down – he could not serve

                                                             ii.      Feet were nailed down – he could not go

    1. God Loves you – God saves you
  1. We must be born again!  We Need Jesus
