From Regrets to Restoration

Luke 15: 11 - 24

We all have had regrets and remorse over something we have done in the past. How do we keep these regrets from becoming a mighty weight upon our heart?

1. Realize that we all make mistakes (Verses 11 – 13)

a. No one is perfect

b. We all mess up and get in trouble with God

2. God will let you know when you are in the "muck" of a mistake (Verses 14 – 16)

a. The good times always end

b. The money runs out, the friends fade away and you are left hurt, alone and wallowing in the slop of life

3. When you find yourself in a pig pen; GET OUT! (Verses 17 – 19)

a. The mistake is only a problem if you remain in it

b. When God speaks your only decision is yes or no

4. Receive the forgiveness and restoration God has waiting for you. (Verses 20 – 24)

a. His Grace is ALWAYS more than you expect

b. His Grace is ALWAYS more than you deserve
